Two months after the announcement of the Palm purchase agreement by HP, the acquisition process has come to an end.

Hewlett Packard has announced its conclusion in a statement, which also reveals some details about the WebOS operating system: “Palm will be responsible for developing WebOS and platform-based hardware products, from a smartphone to future tablets and netbooks.”

As previously reported, HP will pay 1,200 million dollars (approximately 900 million euros) by the mobile manufacturer, payment for each title of 5.70 dollars.

The Palm business unit will report directly to Todd Bradley, executive vice president of the HP Personal Systems area.
